Discovering Orangewood: Membership for Adults & Students

Membership is about more than attending—it’s about belonging. As members, we commit to walking together in faith, caring for one another, and participating in the mission God has given our church.

If you’ve been regularly worshiping with us, serving, or participating in a Community Group, we invite you to take your next step by joining Discovering Orangewood, our membership class.

While membership is not required to attend, serve, or be part of many areas of church life, it is a meaningful way to formally identify with our church family. Covenant membership is an intentional commitment to our shared mission, doctrine, and care for one another. It’s our way of saying, “This is my church, and these are my people.”

Throughout this experience, you’ll learn about our mission, vision, values, beliefs, and what it means to become a covenant member of Orangewood.

The class takes place over a Friday evening and Saturday morning, giving you time to learn, ask questions, and connect with others who are taking this next step alongside you. To help everyone engage fully, we offer two classes covering the same material, each designed for a specific audience and held in separate locations:

Adults: Room 260 with Tyler Groff

Students: The Space with Davis Price & Patti Shivers

Childcare: Parents, please register your children (infants-5th grade) to request childcare. A member of our Children’s Ministry team will contact you to confirm your registration and your childcare needs.

Schedule: Please review the full schedule before registering. Participation in each step of the membership process is an important part of becoming a member at Orangewood.

Session 1 — Discovering the Gospel

• When: Friday, September 18, 2026 | 6:00–7:30pm
• Location: Room 260 (Adults) | The Space (Students)
• Details: Dinner and childcare are provided with registration.

Session 2 — Discovering Membership

• When: Saturday, September 19, 2026 | 8:30am–12:00pm
• Location: Room 260 (Adults) | The Space (Students)
• Details: Breakfast and childcare are provided with registration.

Membership Interviews

• When: Sunday, September 27 or Sunday, October 4
• Time: Interview times will be assigned between 8:00–9:40am.
• Location: Church Offices

Membership Vows

• When: Sunday, October 11 or Sunday, October 18
• Time: Meet in the lobby by 9:15am for rehearsal
• Location: Sanctuary
