Over the past 50 years, we have become a multigenerational body of people from all ages and life stages who gather, connect, and serve for the sake of the church, community, and world.

1973

Our denomination, the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) is founded.

1976

The PCA calls Pastor Chuck Green to plant Orangewood Church in Orlando. 54 people attend first service in a storefront on East Colonial Drive.

1980

Orangewood Christian School (OCS) began with 18 students.

1982

Moved onto Trinity Woods campus (now OCS Lower School).

1983

Planted Pine Ridge Church in South Orlando

Choices Women’s Clinic founded by Orangewood members

1986

Planted Willow Creek Church in Tuskawilla

1988

Moved to current site on Maitland Blvd

1991

Planted University Presbyterian Church in East Orlando

Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) began in Maitland

2008

Completed expansion of OCS

Began Maitland Community Preschool (MCP)

Planted NewCity Church in Downtown Orlando

2020

Tyler Groff called as Lead Pastor

2024

Began Generations Initiative to fund expansion of campus spaces

2026

Began construction of campus expansion

Our Leadership Team

Lead Pastor

Tyler Groff

Tyler serves as Lead Pastor of Orangewood. He has been married to Rachel for over 12 years and is a father to Emory, Layne, and Caleb. Tyler enjoys spending time with his family at the pool, going on walks to find lizards, and wrestling as superheroes. He loves reading, playing guitar, working out, and date nights with Rachel.

Tyler is passionate about his kids learning that dad is not perfect, but Jesus is. He has a heart that every skeptic and the religious person in Orlando would find that all they are searching for is only found in one person, Jesus.

Pastor of Service & Impact

Joe Creech

Joe oversees Orangewood’s global and local impact. Joe and his wife, Rita, served with Mission to the World in Acapulco, Mexico, planting new churches. Joe loves to be with family, friends, and his camera!

Pastor of Care & Spiritual Formation

Mark Nicks

Mark oversees care and spiritual formation. Mark earned an M.Div from Reformed Theological Seminary. He is also a licensed mental health counselor. He loves music, his wife Brandy, and kids Lucy and Jude.

Andrew Lockart is a longtime member at Orangewood Church, and attends with his wife, Emily, and their three young children, Jack, Anderson, and Tyler.

Ashley Eveland

Ashley is our Director of Children’s Ministry. She also teaches MCP chapel each week. She’s a graduate of UCF and loves spending time with her husband and two growing boys.

Davis Price

Davis grew up in Stuart, FL, until he left to attend college at Florida State University to study accounting. Growing up as a pastor’s kid, Davis was always involved in youth group, and even interned for a youth ministry at a church in Tallahassee.

After graduating, he married Lindsay and joined the Orangewood team as the Student Ministry Coordinator, and most recently, has become the Director of Student Ministry.

Director of Worship

Mark McKinney

Mark McKinney is the Worship Director at Orangewood Church, where he leads with a passion for helping people encounter God through worship. Originally from Ballygowan, Northern Ireland, he lives in Winter Park with his wife Aimee and their two children.

Director of Communications

Vonda Westmoreland

Vonda serves as Orangewood’s Director of Communications, helping tell God’s story and invite more people into the life-changing story of Jesus. After serving with Cru’s humanitarian division, Unto, she’s excited to be back in a local church, working alongside a creative, fun-loving team. Vonda and her husband, John, are empty nesters with two adult daughters.

Network Administrator

A.J. Johstono

AJ oversees all of the network and database administration and maintains all computer and technology functions. AJ is from Macon, Georgia, and he and his wife, Liz, are the proud parents of two teenage boys, Micah and Daniel.

Senior Graphic Designer

Brandy Nicks

Brandy designs graphics and all printed materials. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Brandy has also lived in Nashville, Tennessee. Brandy moved to Orlando in 2011 to attend RTS. Brandy has a Bachelors degree in Graphic Design and a Masters in Counseling. She loves swimming with her husband, Mark, and two kids, Lucy & Jude!

Student Ministry Coordinator

Caroline Clark

Caroline joined our team in 2025 as a Student Ministry Coordinator, with a hope to reach out and pour into the students that join us every week for events and small groups! Originally from Boston, she graduated from UCF in Spring 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in English, and experience working with students before and during college! She loves the Celtics, wings, and her family!

Charles Dyer

Charles has been part of the Orangewood team for more than 20 years and keeps our whole building and grounds functioning perfectly. In his free time, Charles likes to watch the latest movies and spend time with his family.

David Moore

David is the Generations Initiative Director for Orangewood Church, overseeing all operations for Generations.

Technical Director

Edward Jensen

Edward grew up in Middleburg, Florida, originally started in a tech department at a church in 1993, and has returned to his roots here at Orangewood.

He and his wife, Kristen, share 4 children together, who are current students at OCS, and own a production company together.
