Who We Are

Helping kids know God’s love, understand his grace through Jesus, build a foundation of faith, and share with others.

We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power and the wonders He has done. Psalm 78:4

OKids is where all kids infants-5th grade are known, loved, and discipled. We believe kids are a vital part of the body of Christ. They are never too young to experience God’s love and truth! Through our age-specific environments—OKids Nursery, OKids Jr., and OKids Worship—we help kids learn and experience God’s love in developmentally appropriate ways, helping them build a lasting foundation of faith.

MEET OUR TEAM

OKids Nursery is where faith begins! For infants through 3-year-olds, we provide a safe, nurturing environment with trusted leaders who love your kids. Through simple Bible stories, songs, play, and caring relationships, children begin building a foundation of faith in ways they can understand.

OKids Jr is designed for Pre-K and Kindergarten as the next step in their faith journey. Through engaging Bible stories, hands-on activities, and kid-friendly worship, children discover who God is and how his love is revealed through Jesus in a fun, meaningful environment.

OKids Worship is designed for 1st–5th graders to grow deeper in their faith. After starting in worship with their families, kids head to an engaging experience where they explore God’s Word through Bible teaching, small groups, worship, prayer, games, and practical application.

Our 5th graders have a special role in OKids Worship. They are invited to step into a leadership role as “Backstage” helpers: serving, leading and setting the tone for younger kids while growing in confidence and responsibility. They also have special times dedicated to just the Backstagers as they prepare to transition to Student Ministry in their 6th grade year.

What to Expect

First Time Check-In

We know trusting someone with your children is a big step, and we’re honored to partner with your family.

When you arrive, our team will be ready to welcome you and help you get checked in. First-time families can register on-site or complete a simple form ahead of time to make the process even smoother.

Check-In Form

Safety Information

Each child will receive a nametag for safety, and parents will receive a matching security tag for check-out. Our environments are designed with your child’s age in mind—our youngest kids can be dropped off in their classrooms, while elementary-aged kids begin in the main service with their families before joining OKids Worship, designed just for them.

At the end of the service, all children are picked up from their classrooms using the secure check-out system.

Will my child be safe?

The safety of all our OKids is our absolute priority. The entire staff and volunteer team undergo an appropriate background check and training prior to serving. In addition, every child is securely checked in and out and monitored while they are in the OKidsenvironment.

Where do I check in?

Either at the kiosk in the lobby or at the Children’s Desk.

When can I drop my child off?

Doors for OKids Nursery and Jr open at 9:45am. Elementary kids will join their parents in the worship center then be invited to join OKids Worship just before the sermon.

Who can pick up my child?

Only a parent or guardian or high school aged sibling with the security badge may pick up a child.

How should I prepare my child for the nursery?

Please make sure to clearly label all of your child’s belongings, including any diaper bags and water bottles.

If we need to get in touch with you, we will send a text message. Please keep your phone with you.

What is your illness policy?

Sick children should not be brought to OKids. Children should be fever free for 24 hours and not show any symptoms of a contagious illness. Parents will be called if a child starts feeling unwell.

What if my kids have special needs?

ALL kids are welcome in OKids. We follow an inclusive classroom model, which allows our team to adapt the environment to meet diverse needs. This also gives kids with special needs the ability to make friends their age while allowing other children to learn compassion, kindness and the love that Jesus shows all of us. Our team will discuss specific needs with parents to support each child well. Support includes buddies for kids who need extra attention, sensory items to help kids regulate, etc. Parents, complete this form and a member of our team will reach out to discuss a plan that works best for your family.

Do you have a place for nursing moms or parents with infants?

Having an infant is a very special time, and we want moms and dads to be able to participate in worship as much as possible! If you need to step out to nurse or to care for a very young baby, we have 2 spaces available. They are located just behind our worship space: 1 room for nursing moms to have privacy and quiet, and 1 room for parents to change a diaper or step away for a quick moment to calm a baby. These spaces are in addition to the OKids Nursery and have changing tables and other supplies available.

How can I serve in OKids?

Come serve with OKids! A child’s first encounter with God’s love is often through the loving care of an adult leader modeling what safety and kindness look like. Please reach out to one of our staff members for more information!
